Knowledge Processes Embedded in Task Structures: Implications for the Design of a Technical and Organisational Solution

چکیده
In this paper, we elaborate on the idea that the processes of managing individual and organizational knowledge are situated in the context of work and emerge from the workplace practices. We address the relationship between Business Process-orientation and work practices as they represent the formal and the situated perspectives on work respectively. We examine the mediating role of information and communication technologies in the creation of collective knowledge within communities of practice from a Business Process-oriented viewpoint. The paper proposes a series of design implications and presents a prototype solution for a knowledge management system.

The dramatic changes in integrated-circuit technology over the last two decades have been of great benefit to countries such as Zimbabwe. High volume production of VLSI chips has produced a supply of intelligent, versatile electronic processing devices at very low cost. In particular the facilities of the microcontroller have steadily developed to the accompaniment of a reduction in price. Sinc...

The ambition of the Canadian Institutes for Health Research Health System Impact (HSI) Fellowship initiative to modernise the health system is impressive. Embedded researchers who work between academia and nonacademic settings offer an opportunity to reframe the problem of evidence uptake as a product of a gap between those who produce knowledge and those who use it. As such, there has been an ...
